01 Introduction

Stormbreak's goal was to become the leader in children's mental health, integrating with the NHS and schools across the UK. 'What if we could inspire mentally healthy movement to help children become happier, healthier humans, forever?'

02 The problem

The initial offering was hastily bolted onto the existing website without a well-defined information architecture or clear user pathways. As a result, users experienced confusion and difficulties in navigating and understanding the offering.

03 Research

During the research and discovery phase, workshops with stakeholders and users provided valuable insights into the needs, goals, and frustrations of Stormbreak's offering. These included empathy mapping exercises to understand user thoughts and emotions, as well as journey mapping sessions to map their end-to-end experience. These findings formed the foundation for the subsequent design and development phases.

05 User testing and feedback

To validate and refine the design solution, user testing sessions were conducted using Optimal Workshop, a user research and testing platform. The methodology involved selecting a representative group of participants who matched the target audience profile. They were given specific tasks to perform while interacting with the redesigned offering.
