In the ambitious project to redesign the Pavelka app, we set out to revolutionise the way corporate well-being is approached. Our primary focus was on cultivating deep and meaningful connections among employees, understanding that true well-being extends beyond physical fitness and mental health—it lies in building supportive communities within the workplace.
Pavelka faced challenges in committing to a single design agency, resulting in an app that suffered from a "Frankenstein design." This design inconsistency confused users, causing them to sign up but ultimately fail to return or engage with the app fully. Consequently, Pavelka struggled to establish a lasting impact on employee well-being within organisations.
During the research and discovery phase, we conducted an array of UX research activities to gain valuable insights into the needs, goals, and frustrations of its well-being app. Various activities were employed to gather this essential information, including:
Carrying out integral activities for the design process. From Design thinking to iterating on UI.
Divergent Thinking, Potential layouts & Design Thinking
Design system setup, high-fi mockups & Prototyping
Deciding whether we pivot or persevere
To validate and refine the design solution, user testing sessions were conducted using Optimal Workshop, a user research and testing platform. The methodology involved selecting a representative group of participants who matched the target audience profile. They were given specific tasks to perform while interacting with the redesigned offering.
